Let hair grow out 2 to 3 weeks, or about a quarter of an inch before waxing.

Exfoliate the areas that will be waxed 1 day before your appointment with a
body scrub, followed with body oil or lotion to soften the hair follicle.

Let your esthetician know of any medications you are taking. Certain oral and
topical medications can make skin sensitive.
-
Take an Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil or Ibuprofen an hour before your appointment.
-
Apply a first aid antibiotic gel with pain relief like Neosporin or
Hydrocortisone after the waxing if skin is sensitive.
-
Stay out for the sun/ tanning bed 24 hours before and after your waxing
appointment.
-
You are more sensitive before your period, so try to schedule waxing a few days
after.

What you need to know
A Bikini Wax (especially the Barely There and Brazilian) usually requires your
active participation positioning your body so the esthetician can remove your
hair. You are usually asked to remove your clothes from the waist down. Some
people aren't comfortable with this so you can keep them on if you prefer. The
fact is, underwear needs to be moved all the way over to do the job correctly
for the Bikini and Barely There and needs to be removed for the Brazilian.
Drape cloths are used but this is a very intimate service.
